(WHAS11) -- Mitt Romney was back in the political spotlight on Friday, March 15, for one of the first times since losing the presidential election.
Romney was the latest republican to address CPAC, Conservative Political Action Conference.
“Now, as someone who just lost the last election I am probably not in the best position to chart the course for the next one,” Romney said.
Romney also told the conservative activists that he's sorry he won't be their president but he's still promising to work "shoulder-to-shoulder" with them.
Advisers said his appearance was designed to thank conservatives for backing his candidacy.
