**UPDATE: Police say this did not happen and the girl made up the story**

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police in Clark County are on high alert after they say a man assaulted a Jeffersonville teen on her way to a bus stop.

Our crew caught this video of a Utica police cruiser following a Clark County bus Wednesday morning.

It comes just one day after police say a man was waiting in a white older model van with only front and rear windows.

It happened in a subdivision near Utica-Sellersburg Road and High Meadows Drive.

Police say when the girl walked by he threatened her with a gun and pulled her inside and assaulted her and then let her go and drove off.

The girl described her attacker as a white man possibly in his forties standing about 6 foot 2 inches with blonde-gray hair, a goatee and was wearing a blue hoodie with blue jeans.

Authorities believe he had an Indiana license plate.
