(WHAS11) -- With the traffic problems out of the way, the only problem for race fans Saturday was coping with triple digit temperatures.
Many fans at the track noticed that attendance seemed lower than expected after major changes were made to parking and traffic flow. Out of the more than 107,000 seats available, many seemed empty for Saturday's NASCAR race.
But the fans who braved the trip and the heat spoke with WHAS11's Brittany Gonzalez about what made race day so special. Click the video player to view.
