Principal charged with attacking student in Arizona

(WHAS 11)--A high school principal in Arizona is accused of beating up a 16-year-old student.

Roman Morales, is a junior and dating the principal's step-daughter.

He says he was dropping the girl off when the man confronted him and attacked him while he was sitting in his car. Police say Principal Chris Bonn hid in the cab of his pick-up truck waiting for the couple.

He told police he attacked the boy when he thought he was reaching for a gun that was never found.
