(WHAS11) -- A local eatery is celebrating 60 years in business. Polly's Freeze was opened in Georgetown, Indiana in the early 1950's by Elmer and Polly Gleitz.
The couple ran Polly's Freeze for many years before handing it over to their children. Now the store is run by two long-time employees, Mike and Cara Rothrock. Cara has spent 18 years with the store, and Mike has spent 11. The couple says they hope to add to the rich history of Polly's Freeze and continue to preserve the local landmark for future generations.
