LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – LMPD is investigating two East End home invasions that happened just minutes apart.
At about 3 p.m. Friday a resident in the Barbourmeade neighborhood saw a grey sedan parked across the street from her house. She says the sedan then moved down the street to the 3000 block of Pine Needle Lane.
The next thing she knew there was yelling and three suspects ran from the home followed by one of the homeowners. The female homeowner reported that one of the suspects pointed a gun in her face, but ran off when her husband came into the room.
A short time later, about five minutes away, Nancy and John Polhill were in their Bacroft neighborhood home on the 7600 block of Old Orchard Court when their doorbell rang. John went to the front door and Nancy went around back.
She says there were three people, she believes to be teenagers, waiting for her. Nancy says they first demanded money, when she said she had none, a female pointed a gun at her and demanded her car keys.
Nancy says she then screamed and pushed the panic button on her car keys. The suspects fled into a waiting grey sedan with another female behind the wheel.
Shortly afterwards St. Matthews Police took individuals believed to be connected to the home invasions into custody. LMPD are questioning those persons of interest.
