LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- No arrests have been made after a man was found shot to death in an Okolona home. The shooting happened around 3:30 Wednesday morning in the 6500 block of Larry Lane.
Police have identified the victim as Gerald Jackson, 33, as the victim. His girlfriend and four children, all under the age of 12, were there at the time. Officers do not think it was a domestic fight.
"I was really surprised to see all these police cars out here," said neighbor Don Strong.
A neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous said she is afraid. "You can see by my yard I have grand kids that come and go and we never were afraid until now," said the neighbor.
"We get very few calls in this area. Every now and then a daytime burglary but as far as serious violence, no," said Alicia Smiley with LMPD.
Some neighbors complained that the couple had many verbal arguments and yelling could be heard for blocks.
"They do have fights. They do have a brother that comes and goes with suspicious activity. We've been concerned about that before. Basically an all around good couple," said an anonymous neighbor.
