LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A 24-year-old New Albany man was arrested on Tuesday morning for allegedly dealing marijuana out of a day care and within 1,000 ft of a school.

Aaron Collins is behind bars in the Floyd County Jail. Police said an undercover operative was able to buy marijuana from him while at the Heavenly Angels day care center in the 1100 block of E. Oak St.

Police said Collins lived at the home and his girlfriend’s mother ran the day care center.  The home is also located right across the street from S.E. Jones Elementary School.

Eleanor Smith takes her son to the day care center.

“I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t have a clue, but I don’t like anything illegal going on where there's kids,” said Smith.

A man at the day care center said Collins was there to pick up his child, but had no further comment on the arrest.

Collins is being held on a $25,000 cash bond. He is due in court on Wednesday morning.
