LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It's been more than a year since chaos erupted in the streets of west Louisville on 32nd Street.

Innocent bystanders dodged bullets as six victims were shot and three were killed in two separate incidents.

On May 17, 2012 police were working a quadruple shooting when gunfire exploded around them in broad daylight.

Makeba Lee was shot several times at close range and died from her injuries.

Earlier that day two 24-year-old men were shot and killed as well.

Now more than a year later the neighborhood where those crimes took place has been transformed into peace.

WHAS11's Claudia Coffey has more on how the area is weeding out the crime.
