LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The mother of Steve Bledsoe held a reflection ceremony Friday at 31st and Greenwood avenues in Louisville.
Bledsoe was shot to death in the 3000 block of Greenwood Monday night.
Family and friends gathered to remember the 24-year-old. Travis Brasher, Bledsoe’s uncle, says the violence in the streets needs to stop. H e hopes his death isn't in vain.
"We come here to pay tribute, he's my nephew, everybody here come to show their respect, come here to show love and kind of a demonstration of what happens when you got violence in the streets," Travis Bledsoe said.
Angelo Cross, 26, is behind bars at Metro Corrections charged with Bledsoe's murder. He confessed to the crime.
