LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Fadumah Abdi escaped war-torn Somalia in 2003 and emigrated to the United Stars and Louisville, where she is a permanent resident and single Mother of six kids.
Five of them were on the Heavenly Angels Childcare van that left a Dixie Highway location and slammed into a tree on Algonquin Parkway. Fourteen kids were hurt, day care monitor Tiffany Belk was killed, and the driver was also seriously injured.
Fadumah has hired attorneys to represent her but a lawsuit hasn't been filed.
