Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)--in your first week on the job as the new mayor, the one thing you don't want to have happen is problems removing snow during a rush hour commute.
So with light snow on the way by Friday, Greg Fischer met with his snow team to understand how it all works. The brining of the roads is already underway.
Mayor Fischer even made light of the recent storms which rocked the northeastern part of the country, wanting to make sure snow removal in Louisville is handled efficiently.
The meeting gave the team an opportunity to better understand the alert system, as well as a refresher for both experienced and new members.
“Wouldn't that be a horrible headline for us? Anyway on day three before we have any snow come our way, I just want to bring the snow experts in and see where we're at and where we're going as a community," said Fischer.
