Man struck by train identified, death investigation underway

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The coroner's office has identified the man who was struck and killed by a train just after midnight Friday morning. Larry Hadley, Jr. age 42 was the victim.

Louisville Metro Police rushed to Dixie Highway and Valley Station Road before midnight after a 911 call from the train conductor with P&L Railway. Police are not sure why the man was at the train tracks.

Investigators do not know the victim’s background. The only witnesses were railroad workers and LMPD is gathering more evidence.
