(WHAS11) -- The Olympics may be over, but local seniors put their skills to the test Wednesday at the Senior Olympics.
After a mock opening ceremony, residents from nine local nursing homes got to compete in games like basketball toss, a golf putt challenge and "name that tune."
Celebrity judges for the event inlcuded Bellermine Basketball Coach Scotty Davenport and former UofL and Chicago Bulls player Roger Berkman.
Organizers say it is a great way to get seniors out into the community and get active.
Patrick Henry Hughes was also there to sing the National Anthem.
