Louisville Housing Authority director gets state recognition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) The Director of the Louisville Metro Housing Authority will receive statewide recognition Tuesday night.

Tim Barry will be honored with the Mae Street Kidd Award, from the Kentucky Housing Corporation, said Mayor Greg Fischer’s office.

The award is for making great strides in promoting affordable housing.

Barry has been the executive director since 2003 where he has helped oversee the new housing developments at Park DuValle and Liberty Green, with a third underway at Hold Sheppard Square Complex.
