(WHAS11) How much do you sleep a night? What about your kids?
Children who get less than 8 hours of sleep per night have a 300% higher obesity rate than those who get more than 10 hours of sleep.
Now one organization is trying to make sure kids have a place to lay their head every night.
Angela Baldridge and David Bachert from Build-A-Bed stopped by the WHAS11 studio, along with volunteer Jameson Czarnecki, to share information about an event being held over the coming weekend.
Build-A-Bed is holding a 24-hour Bed Build-A-Thon in Frankfort. The event is from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
They really need volunteers for their 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. shift.
