(WHAS11) -- A Jeffersonville judge has been hit with a lawsuit from another elected official. According to the lawsuit filed Tuesday, Jeffersonville City Clerk Vicki Conlin, says Judge Ken Pierce took court documents preventing her from doing her job.

Conlin’s Attorney, Larry Wilder, says the issues goes back more than one year.  As a part of his evidence, Wilder filed surveillance video from inside the Jeffersonville City Hall that shows Pierce walking out of a courtroom followed closely by his bailiff, Stacy Kelly, who is carrying three binders full of original court dockets.

Wilder says his client and Pierce have had an ongoing struggle over who is in charge of the court documents since 2012 even after city council passed two ordinances that defined Conlin's job description as being in charge of the court documents.

According to Wilder, Conlin has tried to resolve this issues with Pierce but has not had any luck and that's why she filed a lawsuit.

WHAS11 did reach out to Judge Ken Pierce several times but messages were not returned. Wilder says the next step in the lawsuit is to get a Judge appointed to the case. Wilder says he will request a change of venue.
