LMPD receive stuffed bears, donuts for Law Enforcement Day

Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The Louisville Metro Police Department started National Law Enforcement Day by accepting donations of donuts and stuffed animals.

Each officer at the May 15 event will take about a thousand stuffed animals back to their division to distribute throughout the city.

The toys were donated by Kosair charities.

Officers were also treated to hot cofffee donuts, courtesy of Thorntons.
