GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Hardin County inmate, who has been on the run since November, is back behind bars.

Kentucky State Police said they arrested Lonnie R. Coy Sunday after a brief standoff at a home on Peonia Road in Grayson County.

The search for Coy went as far as Colorado.

A search of the residence by troopers said they revealed two stolen vehicles, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, methamphetamines, a firearm, multiple fake I.D.s, and a police scanner.

Roy Hodges owns the property right by where Coy was found. "He could have broken into my house. He could have stolen my things," said Hodges.

Coy is charged with 2nd Degree escape, 1st degree manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 1st degree possession of a forged instrument, 1st Degree and 1st Offense possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a police scanner.

Hardin County Jailer, Danny Allen, said he is thrilled Coy is back behind bars. He says he applauds the law enforcement agencies that worked together.

"They're not going to give up if they escape. They're going to keep up on the case,” Allen said.

Police said Coy was the only person at the home when he was apprehended, but those who may have harbored him during his time as fugitive may face charges as police continue their investigation.
