LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Thousands of bones are on display at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts as part of a project to draw awareness to genocide.

The display is called "One Million Bones."

Each bone was crafted out of clay by Kentucky students to attract attention to genocide in central Africa.

The bones are on display at the Kentucky Center through May 21, then they will be shipped to Washington D.C. to be part of the "One Million Bones" exhibit at the National Mall.
