(WHAS11) -- A family in Lebanon Junction say they were forced to run from their home when debris shattered their mobile home window.
Strong winds Wednesday night tore apart several acres including corn fields, a barn and a house.
WHAS11's Gene Kang checked on the family and surveyed the damage.
There were some scary moments for Dan Carter and his family.
"I was on the other side of the kitchen window when something just exploded. Debris everywhere. Grabbed the wife and kids and got out," said Carter. "It was all at once boom and chaos."
According to the Carters clean up efforts will last a week. Fortunately they have homeowners insurance.
Other homeowners in the area also reported damage from last night's storms.
