MADISON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a road rage incident after shocking footage shows a driver pointing a weapon at another vehicle and possibly firing it.

It happened in Madison County, Ky. on I-75 over the weekend.

The driver, David Kollar, began filming the incident. He said he pulled out his camera when he saw a driver, identified by police as Dr. Perrin Dobyns, in a black sedan engaging in road rage.

What happened next was something Kollar said he was not expecting, the passenger's front window was rolled down and the Dobyns produced a firearm and allegedly shot at Kollar.

Although you don't hear a gunshot in the video, Kollar told police he heard what could have been gunshot.

After the incident, the Kollar said he no longer felt like following the car, so he turned off the camera and called police.

Dobyns, who lives in Corydon and works at the Branchville Correctional Facility in Indiana, is charged with a felony wanton endangerment and expect more charges to follow.

Dobyns is due in court Wednesday.
