Jeffersonville banker allegedly stole from elderly customers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A former Chase Bank employee in Jeffersonville, Ind. is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from elderly customer’s bank accounts.

 Authorities said that Nancy Hogan specifically targeted elderly customers of the bank on Alison Lane, Court records show Hogan took money from account takeovers, debit and credit fraud and unauthorized withdrawals. Hogan is accused of stealing the money from 2009 to this year. Chase Bank became aware of these alleged crimes this spring. 

 According to court records, Hogan admitted to the crime.  Officials said her husband lost his job and Hogan was demoted from bank branch manager and her family had financial hardships.

 The bank reimbursed all the customers for their lost funds.
