Jefferson County Public Schools Board raises dropout age

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Jefferson County School Board voted to raise the dropout age to 18.

Right now students who are 16-years-old can legally drop out of school if they choose.

Under the new bill this will no longer be an option starting with the school year 2015.
