LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Are you unemployed, underemployed or looking to change careers?

The Fourth Annual “Build your Skills” Workshop was held on Friday, June 21, in Louisville.

It was held at Jefferson Community and Technical College in the Health Science Building.

Those who attended received one-on-one advice from professionals on resume writing networking skills and interviewing.

"It's important to see yourself as always progressing as a candidate for a job not just if you're in a job you don't like or you're not in a position where you have a job at this time but how you can always even in your current position present yourself well,” Carolyn Tandy, who worked at the event, said.

Representative John Yarmuth hosted the event along with KentuckianaWorks the Louisville Urban League and Metropolitan College.
