Indiana delays voting on same sex marriage ban

(WHAS 11)--Indiana lawmakers say they're going to wait a year to vote on banning same sex marriage.

Lawmakers already approved a constitutional ban on same sex marriage in 2011 but must approve it again before the end of next year to make a change in the state constitution.

Legislators say they want to wait to see how the US Supreme Court rules on related cases this summer before taking on the issue in Indiana.
