JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A local doctor accused of over-prescribing pain pills is banned from practicing medicine in Kentucky.  Doctor Lea Marlow has lost her license in Kentucky but that decision stemmed from what investigators say happened in Jeffersonville, Ind.

From July to December of 2012 Marlow operated out of the now closed Clark County Wellness Center, where she’s accused of writing more than 8,000 prescriptions for 3,489 patients in Kentucky and Indiana during 2012. The complaint says 95 percent of the prescriptions were for the painkiller Oxycodone.

Marlow remains suspended in Indiana.  A decision on whether she can keep her Indiana license is expected in late June.
