PAOLI, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Imagine riding your bicycle for 10 days straight; that is what one Indiana teen is doing. And it's all to raise money for a friend that’s ill.
Jack Coleman a recent graduate from Paoli High School in Southern Indiana has been riding his bike for more than 600 miles.
He's doing it as a fundraiser for his high school football coach's wife who has been ill for the past couple years. On Tuesday, June 25, Jack is on the final leg of his cycling journey riding from southern Alabama to Panama City Beach.
"Cycling was just something that I really loved, and so I wanted to give back to her somehow,” Coleman said. “She was just like a second mom to all of us on the football team. So doing something that I like to do and raise some money for her, so it kinda worked out."
Originally planned to be a 14 day bike ride Coleman managed to cut the ride down to 10 days which allowed for extra vacation time for him and his family in Panama City Beach.
