HENRYVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – The rebuilding is far from over in Henryville, Indiana after last year’s tornado.
One family who lost everything and thought they were finally back on their feet say they were knocked down again.
Burglars have stolen their belongings three times now and most recently Tuesday evening.
Resident Jennifer McConahay was set to move into her new home in Henryville after losing her home during the March 2 tornadoes.
Personal items such as priceless mementos from her brother who died two years ago were taken.
“It’s like constantly being violated and it is being violated over and over and over again and we’ve had enough,” McConahay said. “There is no sense in taking what someone has left when they have very little to begin with.”
McConahay says it has to be someone who knows the neighborhood well.
They don’t know if the same suspects are behind all three break-ins.
The Clark County Sheriff’s department is investigating.
