HARRISON Co., Ind. (WHAS11) – A Lifelong volunteer firefighter and volunteer for the WHAS Crusade for Children was laid to rest Saturday.
73-year-old Maurice Roby died Wednesday at Harrison County Hospital.
During his funeral procession, firefighters from several counties joined in to honor him.
Roby worked with the Boone Township Volunteer Fire Department and was a Kentucky Air National Guard and Air Force veteran.
In lieu of flowers, his family has asked that donations be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children in Roby’s name.
