LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS) -- Donating blood is an important and life-saving activity that saves countless lives every year, but it's not just human lives being saved, dog owners are now donating their pet's blood.
Winston, the playful boxer donates blood every few months to help other animals.
The blood taken from this visit was used to help other dogs who lost blood during operations and surgeries.
