(WHAS11) -- A Canadian man may want to give his dog a few extra treats after the dog saved his life!
Mike Cameron had fallen asleep on the couch of his home in Nova Scotia when he woke up to find his house in flames. He frantically searched for his two cats and collapsed near the door.
Charlie, a Border Collie mix, grabbed Cameron by the shoulder and pulled him to the end of the deck. Paramedics tried to take him away but he begged to stay with his animals.
Charlie and the two cats are fine.
The house was destroyed but Cameron says he will rebuild with Charlie right by his side.
