(WHAS11) -- We're getting our first look at new documents about the finances of a merger between University Hospital, Jewish Hospital and Catholic Health Initiatives.
CHI would have final approval over the budgets of the new company and the documents state CHI could transfer money from the new company if needed to meet their debt goals.
The University of Louisville would retain control of academics and research.
The documents were released as part of a court order Thursday.
Governor Steve Beshear still needs to approve the merger.
