ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two weather related accidents caused hours of delays for drivers on I-65 southbound near Elizabethtown.
"I have been out here waiting for over three hours...I'm just waiting it out like everybody else," truck driver Kathleen Meddleton said.
A semi jack-knifed near mile maker 87 and led to several cars sliding off I-65 on Friday. It took crews several hours to move the semi. According to Kentucky State Police three people were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries as a result.
Keissa Walls was traveling from Michigan to Mississippi for a funeral, because of the stopped traffic she worried she would miss part of the funeral.
Another accident near mile marker 50 on I-65 backed up traffic.
Jeffrey Kawsh was traveling down I-65 from Ohio he reached the tail end of the traffic mess. "We got stuck in that back up just down the road. To go three miles it took 20 minutes.
