LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway is hoping to raise awareness in teenagers about the dangers of prescription pill abuse.

As part of the Keep Kentucky Kids Safe program, which kicked off Monday afternoon, Conway met with students at Trinity High School.

Conway spoke the teenagers about the dangers of misusing prescription pills.

“It’s affected my family, I’ve seen it all up close and personal and that’s the numbers one cause of accidental death in the U.S. today.”

A new study released says one in three Kentuckians know someone who is dealing with prescription pill abuse.
