LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- At the 47th International Consumer Electronics Show, big screens, curved screens and the ultra high-definition 4-K TVs are all attracting eyeballs and smart TVs are getting smarter.
Marketers already know about the power of the second screen -- TV viewers surfing on tablets and smartphones.
Now, tech company Delivery Agent aims to condense that into "T-commerce," for television commerce.
It's already on some Samsung TVs and Delivery Agent is set to put their technology on a big stage -- a Super Bowl ad for retailer H and M that will let consumers buy what David Beckham wears in the ad directly from their remote control.
"We're already accustomed to getting marketing messages through the TV, and frankly, we think we're going to make it that much more engaging by enabling you to purchase directly while you watch the actual content," a Delivery Agent employee said.
Point Grab's technology eliminates a remote using a simple finger point in the air, a gesture similar to the tap or touch on a smartphone or tablet.
Their gesture-recognition technology also allows for changing channels, muting a TV and powering on or off with hand motions.
