LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- I got a couple of the emails that viewers sent to my personal account on two different occasions. "Would you like to earn $300 weekly to wrap your car in an ad?"

Sounds like easy money right? And it is for the bad guy.

My propositions were both from guys claiming to be with energy drink companies. One proposed NOS and the other Kronik.

If you respond with interest, here's the follow-up email and the catch. The red flag is that it says you'll get a certified check (this is bogus and the check will bounce). You're directed to deduct $300 for your up-front payment and then transfer the rest to your graphic artist via Western Union.

The money wired from your account it your responsibility.

Like many of these scams, this generates from overseas even though the emails came from very American-sounding names: Harry Peterson and George Jennings

If you have a consumer issue you’d like us to look into send an e-mail to consumerwatch@whas11.com.
