(WHAS 11)--Can you believe it was five years ago that we were talking about the Miracle on the Hudson?
US Airways flight 1549 flew into a flock of geese, damaging both engines.
The flight's crew, led by captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, safely landed in the frigid Hudson River.
All 155 passengers and crew survived.
Sullenberger retired a short time later and is now an author and aviation consultant.
The plane itself is on permanent display at a museum in Charlotte.
Sully and some of the passengers will be joining ferry crew members who rescued them to mark the anniversary Jan. 15.
