DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A wild ride for a semi driver Thursday after he crashed trying to avoid another vehicle, and it was all caught on camera by another truck driver.

According to a new release, the driver, 30-year-old Ryan T. Young of Owenton, Ky., was forced off the roadway by another vehicle when he was driving along Interstate 74 near Greensburg, Ind.

Young was heading east on I-74, approaching Exit 132 just before 2 p.m. when he swerved to avoid another vehicle, police said. Young ran off the roadway, went up a hill, through a guardrail and "ramped" the U.S. 421 interchanged before bursting into flames. Police said Young hit a second guardrail which tore off the semi's fuel tanks.

Young did suffer minor facial and head injuries, and his 7-year-old son, who was riding with him during the accident, suffered minor scratches. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
