LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The driver of a car that crashed right into an appliance store in south Louisville has been charged with DUI.

It happened around 10 p.m. Thursday at Anthony's Appliance Sales and Service on St. Andrews Church Road.

The store manager tells WHAS11 that the car came crashing through the store after it ran through a red light.

We are told about 20 appliances were damaged. Windows and a door were also knocked out of the store.

Police say the driver, Destiny Abell, got out of the car and stayed close to the scene. Police were called and she was later arrested.
