BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that's left a man in critical condition.
According to police, a Warren County Sheriff's Deputy identified as Thomas Brown, was off-duty when he shot the victim in the parking lot of a local business on the US 31 Bypass on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses said Brown was showing his badge to the man he was firing on.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital.
Brown has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing.
