Body of one missing Ky. duck hunter found

Campbellsville, Ky. -- Campbellsville - Taylor County Fire & Rescue are conducting a search on Green River in Taylor County for two missing men.

According to officials, the body of one of the missing duck hunters has been found.

The body of Harold Wethington, 77, of Liberty was found in Green River.

It was 28 miles downstream from where the men had disappeared.

The two men launched their boat Friday morning at Green River Boat Ramp just below the tail-waters of Green River Lake.

When they failed to return, the family contacted the Campbellsville - Taylor County E 9-1-1 Center at 8:55 p.m. Friday night.

After officials arrived, the men's vehicle was discovered still in the parking lot's boat ramp which prompted an immediate search by Campbellsville - Taylor County Fire & Rescue.

At 11:48 p.m. Friday night, the victim's boat was located approximately 14 miles down stream near the Taylor - Green County line. According to family members, the men were experienced hunters having hunted the area multiple times in the past.

As many as 50 rescuers have participated in the search from Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Dept, Green County, Hart, County, Butler, County, Warren, County, Taylor County Sheriff Dept, Dept of Fish & Wildlife, and Kentucky State Police.

The search will resume on Sunday morning.

Officials say the other victim's name is being withheld pending the outcome of the search.
