Big East administrators meet to discuss future of conference

NEW YORK, NY. (WHAS11) – U of L President James Ramsey and Athletic Director Tom Jurich took a trip to New York on Tuesday to discuss the future of the Big East Conference with other administrators from Big East Schools.

President Ramsey tells WHAS11 that their plan is to keep the Big East Conference alive.

With Pittsburg and Syracuse set to leave for the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big East is searching for new football playing schools. WHAS11 learned that East Carolina applied to join the Big East Conference on Tuesday.
