LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Assumption High School girls volleyball was honored on Friday because they were ranked as one of the top 10 best teams in the nation this year by MaxPreps Tour of Champions.
On Friday the Army National Guard presented a trophy to the team during a school-wide assembly.
Assumption ranked 6th among 17,000 high school volleyball teams thanks to their record and state championship win this year.
Assumption won their third-straight state title this year.
They finished the season 41 and 2.
