LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The majority of area schools and many businesses closed Monday following a record snowfall in Louisville.
Officially, Louisville picked up 3.1 inches of snow, a Feb. 3 record.
Snow is quickly ending after dropping 3-7” from Metro Louisville to E-town, much lighter amounts in Indiana and S. Kentucky.
Kentuckiana will warm up later Monday, becoming mostly sunny with a high of 34.
Snow covered roads will become slushy, then much improved this afternoon. Partly cloudy and cold tonight, low 25.
Rain arrives tomorrow afternoon through tomorrow night, heavy at times – upper 30s. Snow/ice north, especially north of Scottsburg, light accumulations possible.
