MEADE CO., Ky. (WHAS11)  – Crews are searching for a missing 37-year-old Louisville woman. Carrie Ruffra was last seen Tuesday night teaching a yoga class in Louisville. Kentucky State Police say she spoke with her husband at 11 p.m. and then disappeared.

Wednesday morning, the park director at Otter Creek Park in Meade County found Ruffra’s vehicle abandoned near the river. Ruffra’s purse and cell phone were still inside. Teams spent the day scouring the surrounding area from the air, on the water, and on foot along the riverbank.  Scent dogs failed to pick up a trail in the park.

KSP says Ruffra will be listed as a missing person. They couldn’t find any evidence of a struggle or damage to Ruffra’s SUV.

The search was called off Wednesday night, but teams will begin searching the river again Thursday morning.

If you have any information you are asked to call 270-766-5078.
