KSP trooper injured in Elizabethtown accident identified

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A single vehicle accident in Elizabethtown, at around 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, injured a Kentucky State Police trooper.

According to a police report, White was on duty operating her marked cruiser northbound on New Glendale Road in Hardin County, when an unidentified vehicle traveling in southbound crossed the center line and into her lane.  White steered right to avoid the collision and dropped off of the right side of the roadway.  She was unable to bring her cruiser back on to the roadway and traveled down an embankment, striking a utility pole head on. 

White was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. As a precaution, Tpr. White will remain hospitalized for observation. 

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
