LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It's a rare look inside the Kentucky Derby Festival's annual stuffing of the Pegasus Pins.

The 40th edition of the pins were stuffed into envelops Wednesday morning at Dri-View.

The pins, including the gold pins, have been hand stuffed since 1982.

Over 300,000 pins are now prepared for their March distribution.

The plastic pins are one of four primary sources of funding for Derby Festival Events.
