SPOKANE --  A man tackled an armed would-be robber at a North Spokane convenience store.

It happened after 7pm at G & B Grocery on Crestline and Frances.  A surveillance camera shows the robber, who's wearing a mask and all black, entering the store.  The man points his hand gun at the clerk and the customer.

As the clerk starts emptying the register, the robber goes around the counter and the customer drops to the floor.

The armed robber grabs some cash and looks around the store.  Then he points the gun into the air, appears to fire it, and then tries to grab more cash.

The clerk's brother races after the thief as he heads for the door.  He ends up tackling the robber to the ground.  The clerk, who has worked there for some time, said he told his brother not do it.  But he did not listen.

The brother was able to hold the suspect down until police arrived.
