Loose laws and more freedom for some sex offenders in Kentuckiana are here to stay for a while. The State Supreme Court says they will uphold their ruling that sex offenders convicted before 2006 can live where they want during appeals to the US Supreme Court. So the rule we're all familiar with: that sex offenders can't live within 1,000 feet of schools, day cares, playgrounds or other places where children congregate, doesn't apply to all sex offenders... at least for now.
